“And when someone you love walks in through the door, even if it happens five times a day, go totally insane with joy”.

If there has been a constant in my life over the last decade it would have to be my two dogs, Melo and Bandit (or as like to call them, the boys), and i feel like i don’t talk about them on the internet as often as I should. Bandit came to me via a small family owned farm in Pennsylvania, and Melo was a rescue i came across via a post on Facebook.

The boys are both 9 years a piece, and while at first glace you wouldn’t be able to tell how old they are, i can tell. Bandit has always had a ton of energy, waking up at the crack of dawn to go outside, and Melo was notorious for catching random cases of the zoomies at any given time.¬† I can remember both Bandit and Melo barely letting me sleep past 6 in the morning while visiting the Berkshires a few summers ago. These days both have traded in early mornings for sleeping in.

I came across Denali and was very much under the assumption it was another surf video that would make me want summer vacation today, tomorrow and for the rest of my life Рwhat i found instead was something that made me appreciate the boys even more. With almost a decade under their tiny belts, they boys have seen me through some of the toughest, loneliest, brokest and bestest of times. I hope they stick around long enough for me to get them the backyard they deserve.

Check out Denali below, and under that I’ve included a great picture of Melo, and a not so great one of Bandit, and a third of the both of them
